just uhm because i'm a keep it simple kinda guy....i know alot of UK models have that tilt thing for the lights....it's up right?

Most halogen light equipped UK cars have a knurled adjuster close to the light switch or near the stalk to raise or lower the beam. Usually has 3 marked positions but is variable anywhere between. Idea is simply to compensate for heavy loads. We can actually fail our annual test for lights being too low so it's always a game with them.

Xenons - it's my understanding that they have to have a fully automatic adjustment system fitted, hence no internal adjusters. Actually one of the reason correct retrofit xenon is so expensive as all the sensors have to be built into the suspension system, not just lights and ballasts dropped in

Generally true but my Infiniti FX45 has a manual adjustment system inside the cabin near the dash light dimmer etc.

Enfield - I was only speaking of the UK. I've never seen an Infititi FX45, but of course accept there will be variations by make and model

i have OEM HID and i love them. only thing that bothers me is how useless the factory driving lights are... ps ihave an 04.

I found they were much better after I upgraded the bulbs and raised the beam a bit.
Perfectly happy with night time driving now. :)

Not wanting to overlook a fault, and noticing there isnt much movement on the electronic adjuster compares to my old 3 series I have booked an appointment Saturday morning for them to double check.

I am guessing there isnt much movement on the adjuster as you can only carry one passanger and the boot isnt big enough to carry heavy loads.

I'm sure they will say the lights are lifting fine etc, but want to be sure before I start tampering with the adjustment and replacing bulbs
