Headlight washers

Hi,
I've got the front bumper off my 06 vert as I'm replacing a couple of bits of trim
that were 'removed' by a speed bump.
I've noticed that the headlight washer hose isn't fixed to anything, when I took off the bumper it just ran along the lower front edge which didn't look right to me.
Looked it up online and this is all I could find:

Ok I see it's a retro-fit kit but the hose to the nearside washer goes over the top of the engine bay.

Does anyone have any idea how this should be routed?

There's little clips it tucks into on the back side of the bumper (well on the z4m one there is, can't see it being any different); it's on the lower side if I remember right.
