Hi,

I seem to be using allot of screen wash alately (dash low light not on when driving, then in morning light is on), unfortunatly I cant tell where from at minute as its always wet outside but i suspect its the front headlight washers, could someone advise what size pipe this uses?

I know itll be one of the 2 washers, but i can probably fix if i know the pipe diameter

thanks
Carl

Id guess the 5mm, but for some reson i thought it was bigger :| lol

lol, any other time id be straight under, think its 10mm, so ordered them, could only find one artical on a 3 series same year saying 12mm outer diameter.

Hi Carl, if you've got the same problem I had it's more likely the actual headlamp washer that is the problem. I lost 2 litres in 2 days and my car left a trail of it (luckily it was a dry day) - I could even see it dripping out below the headlight. :o

Luckily I managed to buy a pair of washers on here and Ross at RBM fitted one for me this morning.

But I also got both washer hoses including the T piece that joins them to the hose from the pump (but not the actual hose from the pump). As I don't need those you'd be welcome to have them if your problem is just a hose. And it looks to me like the hose is probably 10mm diameter FWIW.

Let me know if you want them for just postage or to collect, depending on where you are.

cheers Iain, well its only come about past 2 month, filled it up as it hadnt been filled in months, then 3 weeks later it needed topping up, but thought allot of night driving and roads been muddy. now 1-2weeks and cars not been used much, but the sign of the low light comes on in morning. I did think other day there was a wet patch under passenger side, but didnt think much of it due to all rain we`ve been having.

I`ll try these valves, i looked at new washer units christ there pricey :|

I know - I think Ross said they were about £90 each!

That's why I jumped on the ones someone was selling on here. :D

Might be worth a quick trip to "realoem" to find out, seeing as my E90 has them as well!

already checked unique to e85/86 but id like to see them side by side, probs just a bracket in a diff place
