Headlight Washer Cover flew off!

I had the same problem occur two weeks ago, offside washer cover fell off. Luckily I managed to find the broken cover. The plastic locating hook on the underside of the cover had snapped off. Its not a very robust fitting or well designed.

Booked into dealers for it to be replaced under warranty. Judging by other notices I have read, this seems to be a common fault, although when i asked the dealer they would not admit to it.

So all Z owners who have this washer system fitted, keep an eye on your covers.

Happened on mine quite soon after it was out of warranty....twice

Took a couple of weeks to come but I understood the stealer ordered the already painted part from Germany. £30.

How to fit? Sorry, asked the dealer and they did it foc. Second time I made sure they used some glue too.

Another ex TVR owner here too (clue's in the name) so should be used to bits falling off :D Actually, 1 Series was worst ever for this.

Happened to me as well a few days ago :( 50 GBP for a simple piece of plastic

Buy one unpainted for a fraction of the price and spray it with an aerosol then lacquer in a few minutes.

Yeah just called my dealership and they can do it for about 30 GBP, painted. I'll go that route.

Dealer quoted 4-6 weeks to get the job done, so I ordered a unit through leebmann24.de ( http://www.leebmann24.de/blende-spritzduse-rechts-lackiert-code-uni-met-z4-51110031026.html ). Send them an email afterwards with the right colour code.

They delivered the right colour in only 1.5 weeks!
