Headlight washer blank

Hey guys, so one of my headlight washers is leaking, and I just want to disconnect it and blank it up. Could someone link me to the blanks I need? You know, the ones right next to the screenwash reservoir? I can't, for the life of me, figure out the search term for the blanks.

Thanks in advance!

Why not just disconnect the pump electrical connection?
Hmm, I don't know! Ha. Will that definitely ensure that no screenwash is lost through the headlight washer though? Won't they still be connected up and able to leak?

Either way washers will need to be working for the MOT if you have Xenon or HID's fitted
It's just passed its MOT fine. They work, just leak. I just want to blank them up.

OK I obviously missed what you were trying to do :?

I thought you meant 'blanking' as in blanking off the flow of water, they are not too tricky to fix properly TBH.

No, I suspect you didn't miss what he was trying to do. But hey ho............ETTO (each to their own)

I’ve done this with mine. I just used Carly to deactivate the headlight washer function.

Cheers for the tip. I've done that and it's sorted it. My worry was that even though I'd disconnected the electrical connection, that water might still flow through to the headlight washers and leak out, but it seems to be fine. Thanks again.

I know clio sport ones used to leak, so alls we used to do was fit a one way valve from halfords just below sprayer

UPDATE:
Disconnecting the electrical washer connection did not stop all the screen wash from emptying out. Still on the hunt for blanks to block the water connection on the screen wash reservoir going to the headlight washers.

Could you not just buy a washer bottle from a Z4 without headlamp washers? I assume they made 2 different bottles for these cars, but I could be wrong.

I remember when I first bought my Z4, the washer bottle kept emptying within a few days and the only way I could stop it was to replace the leaking headlamp washer jet with a new one. Cost me about 50 quid at the time, but I think they've gonna up in price to around £80. It definitely stops the bottle emptying quickly, but isn't exactly a cheap fix

Why not buy 5 or 7 cant remember which one goes to headlights

http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E86/Europe/Z4_3.0si-N52/R-N/2007/browse/vehicle_electrical_system/head_lamp_cleaning_device_container/

then block the strainer up and re fit

but tbh as per previous https://www.cliosport.net/threads/headlight-washer-lamp-leak-non-return-valve-fix.653295/

that worked for loads of us with clios, and on z4 you should be able to get access through the arch openings
