Headlight switch/adjuster.

I'm currently in the middle of painting my interior plastics black. This means the grey headlight adjustment switch I currently have looks rather out of place.

I can buy a black one from a Facelift Z4 on ebay, but according to a 'how-to' guide on here, this may well cause the tamper dot to appear on my speedo?

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Thread resurrection...did you get this switch apart in the end? I took the font away from the mail switch today but to get the plastic Grey cover off of the that looked very delicate...was worried I might push my luck 8)

They do come apart, just be careful/gentle. I did this on a mates car when updating all the pre facelift interior plastics to black etc
