headlight stopped working... im stuck

So my z4 is an 04 plate and it has standard hid xenons fitted, i notice a lot of mousture build up on my passenger side headlight, i wanted to tackle it straight away but didnt have time due to work. When i finally manage to try and sort it my hid bulb was no longer working so i dried the housing and replaced the bulb with a new one, it didnt work. I thought maybe the ignitor had water damage so i tested it on my other headlight and it worked fine, the only thing i can think that could be wrong woth it is the wirong in the housing is damaged? Could there be anything im missing?
 
No not yet, thats a good idea though. Ill have a go tomorrow and see what happens, if it fails then could it possibly be the wiring on the car side?

I had my ballast replaced by Chandlers BMW in Hailsham under warranty, the bill was £475!! :o
 
Ive just finished fixing the EXACT same issue. The ballast sits underneath the headlight and once water gets inside the headlight, it trickles into the ballast through the plug. Mine was completely full of water. No amount of hair drying and electrical cleaner could bring it back to life so i got a new/used one from hid-direct.
