Hi guys.. noob here, and nice to see a good Z4 community!
My "light out" warning sign came on yesterday, and it turns out my headlight is out. It's the bulb on the outside (of the two in each unit). Can anyone tell me how easy a job it is to replace it? I've a 2003 2.5si Z4. I'm ashamed to say I'm not the most knowledgeable mechanically, and don't even know the type of bulb to replace it with.
My user-guide is in the glovebox, which is jammed shut (Any suggestions on prising it open without damaging anything?). I'd take it to a garage if they had the bulbs in stock and fitted it on the spot, but my main fear is that I'll use the wrong words and terminology, and they'll hone in on that, realise I'm not "one of them", bump the price up, make me sign stuff, take my car, my house, and make me work for them.. well, maybe not, but I'd still rather do it myself :lol:
At the moment, only the "normal" headlight doesnt work - full beam does, as does the sidelight setting that's one below main headlights. I'm buggered for driving at night until I get this sorted... boooo!
