Headlight replacement?

Hi All,
This is my second thread and i havent even taken delivery of my Z4 yet. I have left a deposit on a car and am waiting for all the issues to be sorted out before i can collect it. I was hoping to collect the car on friday but im being told it will not happen until monday now due to a headlight having to be replaced. I assumed that seeing as it is only wednesday now and the only other job the dealer has to do is a service that friday should be a realistic collection day. But ive been informed by the dealer that it is infact a big job, and that the entire bumper has to be removed to do this and it does infact take hours to do properly! Is this really the case?
Normally i would just accept it and wait until monday, but ive already arranged to take the hire car back on friday, my lift has already arranged the day off, and it just generally causes me lots of other hassles and costs me more money. Is changing a headlight really such a big job?

probably a couple of hours work? If it's pre-facelift (2003-2005) I would take the opportunity and get them to replace both with clear headlights.

I like your way of thinking peddy, but im pretty sure the answer would be no. I REALLY want clear headlights, but i hear they are prohibitively expensive. Is this correct? Im considering letting them off the headlight job just so i can get the car on friday, and then fitting myself when i get the car back.

I doubt a clear is much if any more expensive for them than an orange one to be honest. They could agree and ask for you to pay for the other one?

They're the same price amber or clear.
xenon about £750
Halogen about £350
All your bits would be transferable so no extra costs involved

As an aside 15 minutes to remove the bumper. 10 min to change the headlight. 15 minutes to refit the bumper. Allow an extra 15 minutes to jugge the light adjustment to get the position correct. Say 1 hour tops.
