Headlight Question

Im sure this has been asked before, but what to make sure I'm not gonna be wasting money.

I have a 2003 3.0 with factory fit xenons. Chrome with amber indicators.
Will the black facelift xenon's with clear indicators be a direct replacement?

I think the wiring is slightly different and you need someone with the BMW software to code them in... Although that may just be for the halogens? I remember looking at doing it myself and it wasn't as easy as I had thought
 
Hmmm. Do you think I'll need new connectors then? Or just they need to be programmed to the BCU? It's a pain in the ass because the chrome with orange xenons seem to be the rarest combination in the world of second hand lamps :(
 
I'm sure it's not that easy unless you source some from a 2005 car.

I don't think they work hence people cutting open spare lights.
