Thinking of getting new eyeballs for the car and wondered if anyone has these? If so, are they worth the ££’s?

I have these on mine, they’re “OK” but nothing special. The halos could do with being brighter, and the halogen bulbs aren’t the best. I previously had the OEM standard halogens but upgraded the HID and was so much better. I’m currently in the process of cutting my original OEM lights open and installing my own halos and HID kit then I’ll sell my 2xicte/Sonar set for what I paid for them, £200 I think it was as they would only have been in the car a couple of months from new

I have these also. I found the connectors and wiring in general to be pretty poor quality., Ive had to totally rewire and replace all the connectors in mine as i was constantly getting bulb warning lights in my dash and lights intermittently not working. They’ve been on the car just over a year. I like the look of them, as above the halos could be brighter.

I have nothing to contribute to the headlight debate, but that car looks fantastic.

My 1st Coupe had Bi-xenons which were fantastic!

My current Coupe has Halogens but they're fine even on unlit A roads with the N/S/L that I may exceed sometimes, by accident of course! :)

An eye-test and suitable specs/contact lenses are much cheaper.

I ordered them when early on when I got the car because I had mismatched headlights (previous owner had a knock).

Ended up getting a refund as they actually didn't have the stock for me. Glad tho as I wasn't 100% sold on them. They look nice but just too aftermarket-looking for me personally.

Running stock black lights with my little single halo led mod (no cutting needed) and switching the dipped beam to LED shortly. Cost me probably (including bulbs and halos) less than $50 AUD well chuffed :)

Thanks for the replies guys. I might just restore the ones I’ve got instead.

As above, they look alright, they perform alright, but OEM with custom halos and HIDs will wipe the floor with them, it just depends on time/budgets/skills etc.

And thanks for the kind words about my car, I’m pretty chuffed with how it looks, I’ve got a rear diffuser I’m fitting this weekend and then the big 1 next weekend.... //M bonnet!!!

Feel free to check out this weeks calendar competition to see my photo entry (as well as lots of other awesome photos)

Front: 19” 8.5J ET35 with 225/19/35
Rear: 19” 9.5J ET35 with 255/19/30

I think from memory anyway

It’s a perfect fitment, no spacers

(Also another angle of the headlights so it’s not a thread hijack lol)

Hi, as my OEM lights need to be cut open and cleaned, I have been looking at the same ebay lights as the the OP.

BMW Z4 BLACK ANGEL EYE HEADLIGHTS

BRAND NEW AND STILL BOXED

PAIR OF BLACK PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS WITH TWIN ANGEL EYES FOR A BMW Z4 E84 & E85 MODEL 2003-2008

RIGHT HAND DRIVE HEADLIGHTS WITH BUILT IN AUTO ADJSUTMENT MOTORS. ( MOST OTHER SELLER'S LIGHTS DO NOT HAVE MOTORS BUILT IN AND AS SUCH WILL NOT WORK WITH THE AUTO ADJUSTERS )

MAIN BEAM H1 AND AMBER INDICATOR BULBS INCLUDED, YOU WILL NEED TO USE YOUR EXISTING H7 BULBS FOR THE DIPPED BEAM

FULLY E MARKED , ROAD LEGAL AND RIGHT HAND DRIVE.

NOT SUITABLE FOR CARS WITH OE FACTORY FITTED XENON HEADLIGHTS

THESE WILL PASS AN MOT

LOOKS BRILLIANT WHEN FITTED

ANGEL EYES WILL ILLUMINATE WITH THE SIDELIGHTS AND REQUIRE CONNECTION

Q: Did you wire the halos up through the sides lights or always on when engine is running?

Q: Plus is the general opinion that the chrome version would be too "ALI G" on a Black Sapphire Z4?

The Halos are just bare wire, so you can wire them up however you want. The existing sidelight feed goes to the eyebrow at the top.

Like @jingle, I fitted the 2xcite lights. They look great but performance is average. Garage wired them to stop the top strip lighting up which was worth the £labour. Jingle - did you do the same?

I just don't drive it at night (lol), just turned over 33,000 miles on the clock - plenty left in the 3.0L engine!
