Is it common to have Headlight moisture problems?
What is causing it?
Is there way of drying it out and keeping it dry?

thanks for any ideas

Are they xenons ? Can't see clearly but it looks like you have sidelights ?

Anyway... The rubber seals on the back of the headlights perish / go hard over time and this can allow moisture in. Very common, and a pair of headlight backs will cost you about £25 from a dealer. To dry it out take a hair dryer to it from inside the arch through the inspection panel (which is where you go to get the back off anyway). Make sure you dry it out when it is dry / not too cold outside. Top tip - turn the wheel all the way out to the right to get access. Counter-intuitive but turning it into the arch leaves you no space.

There is a thread with part numbers - I'll try and look it out for you

Go to my profile, search my threads and find one of my first. Its an issue I had at the very start of my Zed ownership and I sorted it by removing and replacing the rear light cover after drying in the sunshine and hooning without the cover at all for an hour or so.

Here you are...my very first posts :D

Thank you very much for the quick replies. I will have to take some time of from rebuilding Rachel's Westfield suspension to sort her Z4s headlight.

Don't leave it too long coyote, the moisture drains into the xenon ballast, which are located under the headlight (great design  )
