Headlight dash icon?

Driving along today with headlights on and noticed the headlight dash light icon wasn't showing. Switched to auto lights/back again and still no dashboard light saying they're on.

High beam dash icon lights up when activated, just not the main beams. Weirdly it did briefly come on only to go off again?!

Any ideas?

Isn’t that how it supposed to be? Dash icon only when on high beams or fog lights.

As above there isn’t the usual green icon on the cluster to show that dipped head lights are on. I think the orange back light is only on with main beam though.

Ah, okay. That would make sense if there is no icon with headlights on. Just feels odd that there isn't anything at all when active.

Is this fog then? Appeared briefly before disappearing.

I'm pretty sure that is for the rear foglight.

There was no icon for "lights on" in my 3.0Sis, but my M has one so maybe you are thinking of that.
