Headlight connectors

Looking for one of resident experts to provide guidance on the topic... :-)

If I recall correctly wiring plugs for headlights are identical for pre-facelift halogen, LCI halogen & LCI Xenon. And it was the pre-facelift Xenon that are different.

Happy to be corrected.

Reason I'm asking is repairing Z4M with wiring loom damage. Have found BMW partnumber for the large Xenon headlight connector but lacking the parts number for the smaller height adjuster connector. So am looking to source this from a parts car. Just need to confirm which parts cars are compatible.

The plug connector will be detailed in the wiring diagrams. I’ll drop you a link.

I'm doing the same thing myself at the moment as mine has been bodged in a horrific way, which means I need to re-pin and add factory connectors on both ends.

I am 90% certain, subject to taking some final measurements, but I believe the parts are as follows:

Someone please connect me if I'm wrong as I'll have a very bad day if so

Vehicle harness to "female" plug end
Cable with connector = Contact bushing MQS with cable 0,2-0,5 QMM (61130005197)

Socket connector for crimping to existing cable = Socket terminal MQS 0.2-0.5MM²/SN (61138369696)

Connector block = 4 pin Universal socket housing uncoded (61138365356)

Motor inside headlamp to "male" plug end on headlamp housing
I should mention that Wiring light regulator - 61138373573 will get you the cables, pins and connector all in, should be a fairly easy swap if you have a genuine motor and are willing to have all blue cables.

If, however, you are like me and unfortunately have an aftermarket motor with the cables soldered to it, then it's the same cable but with pin connectors

Cables with pins = Pin contact MQS with cable 0,2- 0,5QMM (61130005198)

Socket connector for crimping to existing cable = 4x Terminal pin MQS ELA 0.2-0.5MM² /SN (61131393703)

Not sure the connector block can be bought separately - so be careful when depinning the one from the regulator as the plastic housing snapped when trying to remove it...
