There are actually 8 different combinations;

Pre-facelift, orange indicators, black inners - Halogen
Pre-facelift, orange indicators, black inners - Xenon
Pre-facelift, orange indicators, silver inners - Halogen
Pre-facelift, orange indicators, silver inners - Xenon

Post facelift, white indicators, black inners - Halogen
Post facelift, white indicators, black inners - BiXenon
Post facelift, white indicators, silver inners - Halogen
Post facelift, white indicators, silver inners - BiXenon

Black inners for the smaller engined cars, silver for the 3.0/3.2

Hello Z lovers. I have a 2007 US LHD facelift 3.0i roadster. When I bought the car it had Sonar/Spyder headlights.
They have angel eyes/halos but I'm not a fan of the chrome inside.
With a VIN check I found my car had the 522 option from factory which is Xenon/Bi-Xenon.
If I understand this right, I would need the eighth highlighted line correct?
I bought a used headlight on eBay that has the white indicators and a silverish titanium color inside.
At the time I could only find 1 undamaged headlight that was in decent cosmetic shape.
Now I have found another one for the other side and want to make sure it will work or else just sell the one I have now.
I can not find a part number anywhere on the headlight that I have.
Any help on this is appreciated.
Alan

Slightly dated thread and I know you asked on the other thread years ago. But I know now, so replying since you've asked again.

I'd suggest going to BMW and telling them what you want to do. They'll provide you with the correct info and most importantly part numbers (and an eye watering quote). Then you can see if you can source those in the US or if you might be better getting them new.

BMW printed this for me. But where would the part numbers be on the headlight?
I have talked to several sellers online and they all say they cant find a part number.
I found this headlight online.

The headlight part number is held on a sticker, on the side of the headlight. You won't be able to find this now. The sticker will have fallen to pieces and washed away by now. See picture below, this is where the sticker (part numbers) would have been.

OK last question for a while....I hope. But I can't make any promises. :)
My VIN decoded shows options 522 and 785 on the build list.
I see some headlight info listed online with AFS adaptive headlight option. Would my 2007 roadster 3.0i have this also?

The 522 is your xenon and the 785 is clear side indicators (on the front wing). So that's nothing out of the ordinary.

I can't comment right now on the adaptive headlight, didn't think it was a thing on the e85/e86 platform. But hell, give it a year or two and I might know the answer

Best of luck fella
