Headlight Bulb Connector

I have a problem with my passenger side headlight whereby (due to a previous owner bodged repair) the bulb connector is melted away. Finding a replacement is causing a serious problem as getting the component is nigh on impossible. Resolving this needs to be a proper repair as the bulb will not sit correctly, will just move and melt the connections again. Cheapest fix is to try and find the OEM for the connector but as stated - it's proving to be really difficult. Also as the standard headlights are poor anyway, I thought of upgrading the headlights to resolve the problem - however, it's not clear if an upgrade requires the original bulb connector to be in place. Does anyone know of a trustworthy garage (in the Market Harborough area) that can upgrade the headlights correctly? Oops - forgot to mention, the car is a Z4 Coupe, e86 model on a 56 plate. Any help/pointers greatly appreciated.

Have you asked a dealer? I can't find any loom separately on RealOEM, so a breakers may be your best bet as you could take a damaged one and remove the connector, I assume the wiring pins will disconnect out of it.

A proper Xenon retro fit is very expensive. A HID kit would plug into the original connector but is a worthy upgrade. Someone found a genuine Xenon projector retrofit which may be possible but has not been tried yet.
