Headlight aim specs

I checked on the TIS on how to adjust the aim and I almost get it: park the car on a flat surface at 10 meters from a wall, then turn the upper screw for the vertcial (what I need).
I also found this diagram

HeadlightAIM.jpg

"S" is the ground
"M" is the line between light and dark
"e" is the adjustment value that for the Z4 is 10: my understanding is that the line M on the wall need to be 10cm bellow H where,"
"H" is the hight of the center of the headlight.

Is there a way to get the center of the headlight? Is it written somewhere?
Also, on the instruction from the TIS it says the parameter "e" should be on the headlight aimer: is it? where?
Thanks

Aight, figured I'm on my own... Here's an interesting reading. I'll give it a try tonight and let you know...

Sweeet, this is very interesting to know. I've been in need of a proper headlight adjustmet for the past few months -- ever since I got my new headlights (which came off of two different cars). Thanks for posting

Aight folks: just got done the trick and it's MUCH MUCH better. Improved visibility, there's now difference between high-bean and low-bean, and, most important, we don't get flashed by incoming trafic anymore.
The entire process is very easy. The measures I got on our headlight (2003 Z4 2.5i M54B25 with stock suspension) are 23 - 3/8" high and 27" from the center of roundel: I had to eyeball the center of the headlight since I couldn't find any mark of the center. Let me know how they compare.
Also, something interesting I realized: the high-bean is actually the same bulb as the low-beam. The inside light in the assembly is used when flashing...

Thanks... that helps.
I'm waiting until I get my coilovers installed, before I adjust them because my height will change..

FWIW....
Bi-Xenons use a shutter to change the H & L focus.

Single lamp yes, but it's bi-xenon because of the shutter.
single xenon are low beam (or high) only.

Ok so we have bi-xenon as well: I though bi-zenon was the new headlight assembly (post face lift) where both lights are xenon. So what's the inside light for? Is it DRL? Is it for when you flash the lights?
