Headlight access panel in wheel arch.

Hey need some help. I've managed to lose one of my headlight access panels. Had a look on the bay and on line but struggling to find anything. Would really appreciate some help on sourcing one.
 
Have a look on realoem.com - find your model, select your car details from the drop downs and then go to 'vehicle trim'. Check out the pics, you will find the part number so can order from a stealer - they're only about £5 IIRC :thumbsup:

Incredibly useful site, have used it loads.
 
I'd go for the new panels rather than used ones from the breakers - they're integrated with the seals, and those like to perish after a couple of years.
 
Bringing this back from the archives, I lost an access panel so bought a new one online.

Now its not come with the Quarter Turn Latch fixings, which aren't shown on realoem either.

Does anyone know the part number? and with them not being shown on RealOEM, how likely is a main dealer to know what they are?

Had anyone upgraded to a more resilient access panel attachment?
 
I've also just lost the panel #4 on the diagram. Let me know if you do track down the part# for the quarter turn fixings.

Seeing as that post is a year old you might not get a reply. Local dealer is best to see if you can get them individually and get a part number.
 
taking the panel off I found that one of the 1/4 turn fxings was really stuck and sheared off when turned, the centre shaft is very thin, appox 4mm, and will easily break.
Don't bother looking on ebay for a fixing, found then at £4.40 each and a new panel at £14.

Go straight to the dealers, band new panel and fixings ....... £7.17 inc vat who said bmw's are expensive to maintain!
