Headlamps Query

Just took a look. Built November 2004.

There you go then. So really a late '04 car so built before the clear lens models of '05 and no doubt sat in a car park awiting it's first owner for nearly a year

Hmmm... not very good for the car then.

Luckily it doesn't seem to have had any adverse effect

Just checked and I'm glad to say the dealer was correct - no manual headlamp adjuster means.....factory-fitted Xenons

I have a Mar 2005 2.2i,I fitted a pair of clear indicator chrome headlights part nos.63127165687 & 63127165688 to my z4 these work as normal.Paid £610- delivered from Joe @ Soper BMW Lincoln.Contact Joe to see if they fit yours.

I spoke to Joe last Thursday and he said someone had ordered hightlight off him - so it must have been you!

yes,bought new unable to find any secondhand tried Quarry motors BMW breakers,but rare.nearly same price anyway.The nos.I quoted are used on post facelift models as well.

i was thinking about buying the Xenon Kits for mine.

My car is also a 2005 3.0i with silver and amber indicators.

But correct me if im wrong im pretty sure you can just change the Amber part if you take the lights apart?
Im sure theres a post on it on www.Zpost.com - also including adding Angel eye loops

I just picked up an 05 2.5i last week, and it wasn't listed as having Xenons, but I also don't have the manual headlamp adjuster -- were any built with halogens and no adjusters on the dash?
Note, when I get home tonight will check the rest of the items on the list.

Pretty sure every halogen unit has to have the adjusters - None of the cars I have owned with factory HID's have had adjusters.

So yours should be Xenon equipped - Unless someone has swapped out your LCM and then recoded which is highly unlikey.

The adjuster is just above the Fog Light switch to the right of your steering wheel next to the internal light dimmer...
I have aftermarket HID's on mine! was a brilliant purchase, although a little fiddly to fit - £75 from HIDs Direct!

I must have xenons :yeah:
They're not as bright or white as the ones I had on my mini though, think I'll start looking at better bulbs
