Headlamp adjustment issues

Hi all,

need to adjust my driver side headlamp so it throws a bit higher than it does now, however the plastic socket/screw under bonnet is a bit rounded and when I do get it to move it doesnt seem to do anything.

1 - what's the right key size to adjust?
2 - if it makes no difference then is it a case of remove entire headlight unit and investigate? is this straight forward?

Thanks in advance,

I managed to turn the plastic screw and over did it and ended up breaking the lever. I was also looking for answers on how to solve this, if I buy new headlights will they come with the adjustment lever included? Right now my lights are pointing to the floor and I can't fix it :headbang:

I'd like to see if anyone has answers to these questions as well.

I was looking on realoem.com to see if those adjustment parts can be replaced, but couldn't seem to find a part #. Does anyone know?

Have a look here
https://www.sytnerstevenagebmwparts.co.uk/

Exploded diagrams and part numbers, prices and online ordering. No experience of using this site before - I'm currently waiting for rear boot vents that I ordered yesterday.

Checking here, they do have part 63127165675, but I don't see any subparts: https://www.sytnerstevenagebmwparts.co.uk/p/BMW_2003_Z4-30i-Convertible/Headlight-left/132303062/63127165675.html

This image shows the left side where I broke the screw, and the right side with the screw intact (but hard to move).

I would appreciate it if anyone could recommend a seller where I can buy a used spare headlight or any suggestions on how to fix that broken screw.

Thanks
