Hey now, my car IS the Zed!!!!!!!! (Hubby has a F150 Lariat in black. My roof doesn't even come up to the bottom of the windows in the doors!)

How about this:

My truck.... and HER Zed....

Close-I have a coupe and his Lariat is Black with gold and chrome wheels, but the that's pretty much the same effect!

Stopped at WalMart and got a bucket and synthetic chamois. Brought the Meguiar's Gold class wash. I'm hoping this will be enough (if the birds will stay away from her, grrrrrrr)

Had a small demo from the OCD detailer himself! Used my car as an example of how to detail a Z ,,,, Thanks Ducks! :D

what the hell is claybaring. :?

I confess, I didn't hear about claybar's till I read this forum.

All I have to say is OMFG HOLY SHITE WOW THIS STUFF IS AWesome.....ok, anyways, I followed some simple instructions for cleaning, cleaning, claybar'n, cleaning, waxing that I got from somewheres. Anyways, the simple explanation is this...when you wash your car and rub your finger along the surface you still feel drag. when you wash then clay then wash and run your finger along the surface it feels silk smooth.

BUT, like the soap in prison, don't drop it.

And don't forget to wax/polish/protect afterwards, as with claybar'n you essentially strip all that good stuff.

I didn't get a chance to get ducks to show me how to work on the car-but that won't keep me from asking in the future. Monday is a holiday so I'll probably wash her to get the road grime off. Depending on the heat and if Gustov or Hannah drop tons of rain on us, might get around to more.
