HC 2008 confirmed roster

For everyone heading to Deals Gap on Wed, are we planning on meeting/starting at the bottom, driving up, then back down or meeting/starting at the top, driving down, then continuing on to HC?

Looked at that when you posted it - unfortunately it would get us in a little too late - If we left at 4:00am we'd get there about 6:00pm - don't want to get too worn out :rofl:

My plan is to make the run, meet up, congregate then head off to ES. Doing a en masse is IMHO (sorry Wazzman) not my preference, although for some it may be a good idea to have a lead car take it slow. No cowboys or bravado on 129 and we certain don't want any casualties. I will not give CPR to anyone other than Eva Green.
 
Not to mention, if the TN mounties get a whiff y'all are coming, they'll be out in force. NEVER do the Dragon on the weekends-just some friendly advice. :wink:

So, that means we are going to meet on the north side in Tenn. and travel south to Deals Gap and meet-up and on to ES from there?

We could. I will be approaching the tail from the north side so for me to do my run and wait is my preference. As peeps arrive in the area if they come up from the south they could do their run and then all meet back at Deal's Gap, hang out, then say NLT 1pm sharp head off to ES. As veterans will attest, ES is not around the corner: Driving directions to Greenville, S Carolina, 156 mi – about 3 hours 14 mins. Maybe leaving at 12:30 would be better.


One major suggestion is that we all have a 2way in our cars to communicate: traffic, mechanical, pee break, fuel all may separate us. We could prevent problems by having a communication device set at a prearranged frequency prior to travel.

Exactly....I think that members should do the run at their leisure and meet up NLT 1200 hrs @ Deal's Gap. We can meet/re-meet/fuel up and set radio frequency.

Works for me - gets us all to ES at a reasonable time too! Keep an eye out for the Interlagos Z4MC carving the turns - Ian will be driving :driving:
