Is it just me or does any one El's accidently hit the Hazard switch when releasing the hand break this happens to me 50% of the time. :headbang:

No, you must have big clumsy hands :) . Though, I accidently hit it sometimes when I want to lock the doors when I'm already driving along :o
IMO - the door lock switch should be moved somewhere else, not next to the hazard lights button.

Nope, just you then

Although I can never find the damn hazard switch when I need it - stopping on double yellows, hatchings and other BMW-exclusive parking areas...

I did it once the other day, and weirdest thing was as i was about to pull away i was thinking 'where is the hazards switch?' lol and by chance hit it with elbow.

I dont collect my BMW till Friday but I was hoping the dealer would bring this up, I am also looking forward to being able to hog the outside lane on the motorway and flash at anyone who doesnt have a BMW to move over.

Also what is the etiquette when meeting another BMW that is not progressing swiftly enough, do they have to yield and go drive with the plebians? :D

Elbow? How long are your arms?

When I first got the Z4 I used to hit the hazard switch fairly regularly with my index finger knuckle... I had to consciously change the way I held the handbrake to stop this happening.
I don't think I could contort myself enough to hit it with my elbow, though... is the switch in a different position on some cars?

You flag them down and insist that they sell the car as they don't know how to drive it and are in danger of giving BMW drivers a good name

Incidentally, I have found myself driving more like a **** since I got my bimmer!
I used to be polite and friendly when I was driving my Smart :driving:

Never done this myself but i do think its in a dangerous place as in my last car why do they put them way down there i often find i have to glance down to hit it would be better on the door next to window switches

I have inadvertently hit the button a few times! Crap positioning of the switch IMO. Especially when you got hands bigger than Jeremy beadles right!
