Aren't you the clever boy!
Smart, check out the neighborhood before you sign on the dotted line.

Haha didn't mean to come across as a smart arse! Just that I hate cold weather!
Not a smartass at all, most people wouldn't think of checking the winter weather, smart move.

Ok so I should rephrase that to London snow days. But glad you are carrying out your manly duties despite the temp

I can't complain, my other half does a fair bit of snow shoveling , she also has her own lawn mower.
A real keeper...

i want it to snow now. i lke the tranquility snow brings ....

ok you have to live in the middle of nowhere and ignore the 90% of the population that moan as soon as it goes below 5C and seem to stop working at the slightest hint of snow but still

I've never understand why we sent the criminals and remittance men to Oz, a place of sunny beaches and fair weather all year round and the fine upstanding youth went to explore North America above the 49th parallell, a place of hellish winters, monster bears and locals that liked to torture tourists then scalp them.??? It really doesn't add up .....

Half my family does live in Oz, a couple still in the UK and I got the frozen North.

Bugger it, only 6 months more to endure
and I'm going to Arizona next week for a "thaw'. :tumbleweed:

Must have been an iPad anomaly, when I opened this thread the pics were upside down (hence the Australia comment). Well it was funny to me

Driving in crisp snow with the roof down is perhaps the only time i will miss not having a roadster - well apart from the odd sunny day :)

weird... some of my pics are coming through upside down from Photobucket.... they aren't posted upside down ?

Oh well, snow looks the same either way..

come to think of it, I saw them inverted on the iPad as well, they look fine on the laptop.

Having a cuppa tea til the sun comes up a bit more then clearing snow for a couple of hours. We didn't get much, about 6 inches but the wind has made drifts here and there. On the way home, I couldn't take the off-ramp to my neighbourhood as it has drifted over in the night so went the long way round after dropping wifey at work. ( I wanted her Landy to play with today, my 911's not so good in deep stuff  )

Latest news: the #1Transcanada Highway is closed between Strathmore and Brooks, has been for a day and a half, some drivers stuck in their cars for 18hrs awaiting help. #2 North open now, #1 West open now. Northeast section of Calgary suffered the most due to massive drifts , roads blocked, some areas isolated by drifts. Some drifts over 8ft high (try to get a Zed through that)

Over 200 traffic accidents yesterday in Calgary, --- I thought we knew how to drive in snow. It's that common mental problem of forgetting what ice is and having to retrain every year. :headbang: :headbang: Idjits

I stayed home today and shovelled the drive, ...again !
Dec 11th, flight to Arizona.....and no snow there...

doesnt sound good. lets hope we dont get any here this year..... i dont like the disruption it causes and it will be worse if i cant get to work now that im contracting :D

You'll be fine, a bit of wet snow that goes away quickly.

keep the snow tires on and weight in the boot :driving: :driving:

Bloody ell!

It will all be open soon, we have the equipment , it just takes a bit of time, and for the wind to stop.

Our city has certain "Snow Route" main roads, where you can park normally every day , eg in front of your house , but after a decent snowfall the snow ban goes on and you have to move them for 72 hrs or so to allow plowing. Tickets and towing if you don't..... Quite a few people can't even get to their cars let alone move 'em and the city has imposed the snow ban and is threatening to ticket all the cars. You'd need a friggin dog team to get to some of these , it's absolutely ridiculous. It's. $40 ticket and then supposedly they will be towed away... .. If the car is in a four foot snowbank do they actually think a tow truck will get in ....  what a pack of arrogant idiots.
