Having a custom exhaust- best options?

I've booked in for an appointment at Prospeed in Cardiff after being quoted a very reasonable £260 for mid sport backbox.
My question is - do I remove one of the cats for some bangage and poppage ( but really don't want a loud and aggressive sound) or modify any other bits of the exhaust... Or just go backbox?

I've been reading up on the removal of backbox and getting a straight through from cat with flanges put on for MOT but I use the car as a daily, and dont want to be turning too many heads!! Ideally I'd like it to sound how I'd expect the standard 3.0 straight 6 to sound with a few popps chucked in!
:D

Any ideas?

Personally I would leave the cat alone, less hassle mot time and shouldnt get any warning lights on dash. Thinking of new backboxes on my M looking for slight sound boost with no ugly underhang. Let us know how you get on with Prospeed,I'm only down in Swansea myself
