Have you raced anyone and if so, what was the outcome

Not sure we're comparing apples with apples. The info I had was our KSI rate compared to other euro countries. Ours being the lowest (for now) which whatever the spin says must, at least in part be down to enforcement/education. In terms of speed, hear what you say about "main causal factor" but do you have more or less time to deal with problems when ur driving fast? And wud u rather have a blown tyre (e.g.) and hit the Armco at 30 or 130? At the end if the day statistics will tell you whatever u want them to. Common sense is a good barometer.

Not trying to be anyone's dad and I'm sure I'm not faultless myself. U pays ur money u takes ur choice. But I bet there are plenty of people been bagged up and taken away that used (or were hit by someone who used) to think similar things to expressed here. Anywhoose no doubt this threads been done a million times before and all that there is to say has been said before.

Fast driving is not necessarily dangerous driving, as people have pointed out.
Sadly, it's a simple equation peddled by a lot of people (including the media) because 'speed kills' sounds better than 'lack of attentiveness behind the wheel at any speed can kill'

I got nabbed by a Scamera van on the M4 in Wiltshire a couple of years back in the E46 at 90mph. Received a fine and 3 points for my trouble. I was cruising on an almost empty motorway in perfectly dry conditions with perfect visibility on a mid-Saturday morning.

Compare that to some scrote who was probably burning his Citroen Paxo around a housing estate at 45MPH after a skinful the night before at the same time and ask yourself who was the more dangerous driver?

You were because you were driving an expensive car, obviously educated enough to have a job to be able to afford it and therefore a tax target.

Master scrote in the Saxo is obviously deprived, unable to express himself and should be sent on a nice holiday on the state to make him feel better...
