I'm declaring a name-change for my zed after today -
After the bump I incurred today after bashing my head on the bootlock, and the various grazes and scratches I suffered while tinkering about in the footwells and in the boot I am renaming her from 'Betty' (crap name anyway)... to 'Bruiser', which I think is more than apt given his ability to inflict bodily pain and his somewhat mean and moody demeanour.

What do you call yours?

Betty has had a strapadictome ? :o

I call mine Ze Messerchmitt (the car that is)

It's the Zed. Pet names are on a 'need to know' basis, same as pet names for girlfriends

He's much much happier being referred to with a boy's name now. Much like i suspect how pastry paul felt when his mam stopped putting him in frilly dresses as a nipper

Another Chris thread spiralling out of control... :D
No serious names but the Blackbird (SR-71 ref aviation fans), ex-GF called it the Batmobile, occasionally dubbed the stealth bomber... you get the picture... been watching too many YT plane vids...

Yep, another thread going awry on several tangents. Well, you wouldn't have it any other way would you??

Is the blackbird still flown? I know the U2 is but not sure about the SR71. I had a poster of one on me bedroom wall when i was a nipper. Snapped from above and u could see curvature of the earth so mustve been snapped by another blackbird. Never been able to find that photo back anywhere.

I never minded the dresses Chris as I've always been comfortable in my sexuality. Unlike you of course a Chris (we've all seen your chopper picture) who is still wearing lau's underwear on the quiet

How do people decide if a car is a he, she or it ? My personal guidance is that 2L and upwards is a he, below 2L is a she.

Oh yes, car names are in my signature.

Pretty sure they're all retired now. Shame. Only c.130 built IIRC so you might see one at the odd US air show but v. unlikely otherwise. Restricted to YT and watching Firefox these days... :(
