have my springs gone?

Hi
I'm getting a rattle coming from the rear d/s wheel it only happens on bumpy roads.
I had a look and nothing seems to be loose. Read about broken springs do you guys think this is it?

My rattle turned out to be a parking brake shoe that had become loose inside the drum. That was good news but the pessimist in me realizes I still will have to deal with the springs down the road.

ah ha, I have the same rattle, springs were changed 5k ago so it's not them. I changed the rear discs recently so something must have gone bad with the p/s shoe. doh!

I'd still check them, knowing Z4 springs its not impossible that they may have only lasted 5k miles! :roll:
