Hi paza3(4) :D

To pair up, there's a button in the fold down section between he seat iirc, have you got the booklet?

Paza, I have exactly the same problem in my E85. Dealer sold it to me as "has bluetooth preparation", but I can't for the life of me get it connected. BMW have told me my phone (Samsung Galaxy S2) isn't supported either. :(

Pain in the ass the pairing mode. After you get the car into searching mode, get your phone to search for local devices and pair up that way. Best way I think..

Pin is on the ULF under boot rear bulkhead carpet if you don't have it, intravee can kick start pairing if you have that installed.

Tapatalking on my iPhone.......

Or a Dealer can extract it from the car's systems ..........but for a price

The easiest way to confirm if you have Bluetooth on the car is to press and hold the R/T button on the steering wheel to see if the radio display says "Searching". If that happens, you have Bluetooth. And it's not "shite" either.

It works quite well on my roadster, especially if, after you get in the car, you tun the cell phone's volume all the way. That turns up the "line in" volume all the way, and using the wheel mounted volume controls, you'll have no trouble hearing your caller.

Whether one considers the system "shite" or not surely depends on their experience of it....

In my 5 years of ownership I had a number of phones with varying amounts of success:

Sony Ericsson w880 - worked no problems
Sony Ericsson c902 - worked no problems
Sony Ericsson c905 - worked most of the time
Sony Ericsson w890 - worked no problems
HTC Desire HD - paired but never transferred the phone book and wouldn't hold any calls, so never used it

The bluetooth system in the DS3 is much better - even streaming music over AD2P, but then it is also much newer...
