Hi all-we had to go out yesterday,i did 70mph for an hour there and roughly the same back-my emission light never came on!-i had been advised to drive her like i stole her  -just wondering if it has done her some good?-thanks

It won't have do it any harm, some BMW bulletins advise the customer to drive the car hard. They need a good clean out.

Modern diesels need a good clean out at least once a week to stop the DPF from bunging up.

Sorry, just highlighting the need to drive diesels hard.

Andys biggest issue is he only has two thirds of a petrol engine though. :poke:

I used to have an RX8 and they 'had' to be redlined at least once a day to clean off carbon deposits to stop the wankel engine dying.

9500rpm once a day keeps the greasy mechanic away.
