Here is the big update!
Took it to an indy called Autotechnik today, they charged £78 for the diagnosis.
...and the EPS motor is dead

, this was worst case scenario but I was prepared for this and have researched ECU Testing who will repair and refurbish my motor for £378 inc VAT + Postage. This means I need to remove the steering rack and motor which I don't know how to do but hopefully someone can point me in the direction of a good tutorial. For the indy to replace the motor they wanted... drum roll please...
£3102.04!!! Almost laughed when I heard that one. :x
As for the rest of the car the outlook wasn't much better, rear coil totally sheared (which didn't appear on the MOT less than 3 weeks ago hmmm) and I will detail the other problems and quotes below.
EPS module/steering column replacement £3102.04
Real coil springs £169.26
Auxiliary belt (worn) £75.52
NSF Tyre perished £121.86
OSF p bush and alignment £171.34
Oil filter housing gasket and engine clean and recheck £187.57
Rear discs and pads £231.88
Futher investigation into parking sensor fault £78.00
All including parts/labour/VAT
Obviously left kindly saying no thank you to all of the above but it is quite the list for me to be getting on with. They sent me a video of the car which I understand is becoming pretty standard nowadays which you can view here

So £4137.47 in quoted repairs on a car I paid significantly less than that on. Any help or advice will be greatly received!
