Have Flys got tougher?

Has the common house fly suddenly got tougher or has the EU watered down the strength of fly spray?? :( I am sure when i was a kid one squirt of fly spay had every fly in the vicinity taking a nose dive into the carpet. I have just unleashed a torrent of the stuff on an annoying fly and the little barstool is still dive buzzing me :cry: :cry: :rofl:
 
It's the domestos factor. If the stuff kills 99.9% all that's left to breed is the 0.1% super strength strain. Do this over several generations and the buggers can survive a nuclear onslaught.
 
Or could be modern fly spray no longer contains any thing that could harm a fly, for fear of being sued. :oops:

Think that would be more effective, however i have an electric bat that usually does the trick when i sneak up on them :rofl: :rofl:
 
I find an old badminton racket is great for getting most flies and wasps, downsides are getting carried away and braking other things in the house trying to get the flies, and the bodies are hard to locate afterwards.
 
Back in the day when DDT was in fashion, then fly spray was effective

We don't need a fly killer - we have a Labrador that's views all insects, including wasps :o , as a tasty treat!
