Hello!

I picked up my 2010 Havana Brown Z4 S-Drive 2.3i just over 3 weeks ago with 34k miles on the clock and so far I'm loving it. In this time it's already had its third full tank of fuel and it's already been washed three times! :P I used to own a 1996 Corrado VR6 some years ago and I would say that the handling and performance is quite similar, albeit more refined than the VW and of course rear wheel drive, instead of front. I had considered going for a 3-litre version but decided that the 2.5 was a reasonable trade-off between performance and economy.

After divorce, major surgery and driving a diesel for the past five years I had set my heart on getting a roadster. It was a toss-up between an E89 or a 2005 Boxster... and the Beemer won. I spent several weeks hunting online and originally had my eye on a white one with red interior, then a yellow one, until finally I spotted this Havana Brown one with cream leather and I thought it looked really classy. It also had lots of the toys I was after including iDrive, parking sensors and folding mirrors.

So far I've replaced the nasty yellow angel eye bulbs with crisp white LEDs, swapped out the massive aerial for a neat little stubby one and changed the rubbish standard wiper blades for Michelin Stealth (highly recommended!). The ring around the iDrive controller has the common peeling problem and I've already bought a replacement for that but I haven't yet figured out how to get the old one off without wrecking something. Oddly, the driver's seat is missing its thigh support handle, so I'd like to get that sorted at some point. There's not much else I want to do other than getting the alloys refurbished (one of them is quite badly chewed around the edges) and possibly having the callipers painted. I'm a bit worried about what I've read regarding the 296 alloy wheel cracking issue so I'll need to get them off soon to give them the once over...

Hi,
I was going to get the e89 but as its only for a toy and not regular driving I finally got a 2007 2.5si sport as I thought it more fun to drive.
A good colour choice you have got they look smart i,m sure you will enjoy every bit of it. :driving:

Welcome from another new owner. When I met my wife, nearly everything I owned was brown (apart from my telly which was black and white). She'd have killed me if I'd bought HB  . Very smart looking car.
