Haul your dog in a Coupe

Soooo... I know I haven't been around in quite a while, but between work and life and a million other things I don't have that much itme to dedicate to my cars anymore... I still occasionally read forums, but I'm not as active as a few years ago. Anyway: the wife still has the Z4 Roadster and I'm in the process of selling my last Z3 (already sold one, now waiting to sell the other one...). We got a dog and with 2 Roadster it's always complicated going somewhere together, so we decided to get something more practical and after looking around at alternatives I've decided to go for the Z4 Coupe... I'm over the Z3s anyway, but that's a different story...

Does any of you guys have any experience in carrying your dog in the trunk of a Coupe (in the Z3 Coupe it fits nice and have room to move around...). We have a Lab mix around 60#... Does the Z4 Coupe has the trunk net as accessory (the net that separate the cockpit form the trunk)?

My Jack Russell sits happily in the passenger footwell, but clearly a much smaller dog than yours.A buddy has a big labrador and an SLK,his dog also is happy to sit in the footwell, not much room for feet, but they manage.

Thanks for that... I don't want the dog to sit in the front: too dangerous for him and not forgiving on the leather...

Neither dog goes anywhere the leather seats, they are only allowed in the footwell. The issue with dogs and keeping the car nice mainly arises when they are wet and muddy,( that happens a lot in the uk lol).I use my wife's car for that :D

Dunno if a 60 lb Lab will be happy-the Z3 had that square rear, the Z4 is very sloped. I get a lot of luggage in there as it's pretty wide, but the poor dog might just be hitting it's head on the glass.

Hi, I have a large retrievier and when i had to rush her to the vets she sat and fitted quite happily in the back of my coupe.

cheers chris
