Seeing roadsters driving round the last few days awesome weather for it and I'm in a hatchback.... I've technically got 2 Z4 roadsters too; ones written off, the other is mine on deposit but can't pick it up until I get the insurance payment...

Actually what I really hate is insurance companies. Just pay me out do I can enjoy the sunshine!!!!

Sorry people rant over..

#firstworldproblems I'm driving round in a pretty much brand new £20k audi and I'm complaining, feel like a grumpy old man and my 30th birthday was last year  just really missing the top down cruising :driving: .....

Going to blame the British summer time not often that we get it this nice and got myself worried we won't have it again like thus this year

Anyway put me out of my misery and post your sunshine driving pictures!

Have you no pal who will lend you the £ short term ? :? Seems like its deal done & can't see why the cash isn't with you if the decision has been made in your favour
Anyhow i did get out for a hour after work & found it nice cruising the shady lanes of Pendle :D

Really annoying thing is I can borrow the money easily, bank, credit card, parents could even cash out of my business but because I've been in a hire car for 3+ weeks the insurance won't pay out uf they think I didn't mitigate my losses and get out of hire by borrowing the money, only found this out last week so stuck in a hideous catch 22... Wish I'd not got involved with the solicitors who said they would handle my claim and make it easier for me...

My advice don't deal with solicitors / claims management bullpoo thought it would speed things up... Instead just a failure of communication and a massive delay in getting paid

Brilliant photo though looks like an ace place to be with no roof!

Would post a pic but I'm too sore with the sunburn after driving around for the past month with the roof off.

Darn straight it's not the same, you don't get sunburn! :P
Doesn't that sort of defeat the point of having a convertible worrying about the sun. This is another typical stereotype people make thinking we only put the roof down when its hot. My roof goes down anytime I want some fresh air it could be 7am on the motorway going to work or 7pm at night when the suns going down I used to see people going for drives gloves and scarf on and think oi nutter what's that all about. Until you try that you will never know its actually great having the roof down on a nice crisp winters morning with clear skies. Last week we took the Z4 to wales evo triangle for a few laps we had the roof down on the way back and it started raining I was actually stunned that we wasn't even getting wet did seem very odd as I was using my wipers but no water was coming inside the cabin. There's always a coupe owner trying to justify not needing a convertible it think I find only people who never driven/owned them complain about them which is typical. I'm yet to hear a convertible owner of any car say there not good fun.

You are another typical stereotype assuming that people who don't have a convertible haven't driven one...

I had a supercharged Mk1 MX5 so I know exactly what open top motoring is like thank you. I used to put the roof down whenever I could too but mainly just because I could rather than any great desire. It was fun but I don't feel like I'm missing out. I like the intimacy of the coupe cabin and you can have the windows all the way down at motorway speeds for air/fun as it doesn't buffet like most cars. I prefer the sharper dynamics of a tin top, unless you have something like a supercar with a carbon tub there is a difference.
