Hat or no hat?

 Linlithgow, Scotland.
Drove way up north recently in the very good weather. My head was slightly stinging at the end of it and having a baldy heid means it wasn't very smart. The upside though is that I am now very nicely tanned from the neck up. I try, where possible, to drive without a hat and with the windows down as I think I'd be as well with a coupe...

So, being hirsutely challenged, am I being just a bit silly and do you hairy heid guys go to the bother of wearing a hat?

Well being a folically challenged 50/50 English/Scott my Celtic genes mean I don't tan, I go red and burn.
Baseball cap and Polarised sunnies :thumbsup:
 
I've also had a couple of recent scaldings and been thinking of getting a hat!
Sun, Ginger and Scottish is a dangerous mix!

I'm Scottish but not ginger. I have 3 hats in the car which I stubbornly refuse to wear!!

BTW, did I see your car in Linlithgow some days ago?

I have been bald for 20 years now and nearly always wear a cap when gardening, dog walking, cleaning the car etc. I ALWAYS wear a cap when I have the hood down and SPF50+ also through the summer months. I have a few areas of solar keratosis on my head, face and hands and I do not want this to progress to something more serious such as melanoma etc.
Wearing a hat and SPF really is the sensible thing to do even if you have thick hair and dark complexion as it may prevent some serious skin problems or worse as you get older.
 
Scotsmen don't wear hats in the sun. Perhaps you're actually a big girl?

If you're thinning on the heid and Scottish then no hat and no suncream. Taps Aff at the slightest hint of sunshine even in winter.

If you're thinning on the heid and a big girl then a hat would be advisable or at least some sun cream stuff. Taps Aff optional.

If you're thinning on the heid and a big ugly girl then buy a Coo Pee. :rofl:

If you're thinning on the heid, English and as that means you're also ugly then you should really go and buy a Porsche! :poke: :rofl:

Very possibly, the car only gets out at the weekend and we've been ending a few Sunday's out with a visit to the new pizza place at the Regent Centre.
I'm pretty sure I saw you in Bo'ness a few weeks ago, you were passing Lidl as I came out the door of the shop, you looked straight at me probably thinking what the f$#€ is he staring at! :lol:

Very possibly, the car only gets out at the weekend and we've been ending a few Sunday's out with a visit to the new pizza place at the Regent Centre.
I'm pretty sure I saw you in Bo'ness a few weeks ago, you were passing Lidl as I came out the door of the shop, you looked straight at me probably thinking what the f$#€ is he staring at! :lol:

Not bald, but my head has kept growing up past my hair, so it looks like I am :D
Calypso dry oil sun spray for me - magic stuff and dead cheap - baseball cap if I forget to apply, is kept in the car
