Has your Zed ever been photographed?

Odd thing happened to me the other day on my local Co-ops car park :D

I was parked up taking up 2 bays :oops: and a couple pulls up along side in a newish Honda Civic, get out and just stood there staring at the Zed, I took no notice as thought they were going to have a pop at me for my parking :) they stood there for quite some time pointing etc, and then walked off, decided to put the roof down then all of a sudden the woman returned taking pics of the Zed on her phone whilst the roof was going down :? I've never had that sort of attention in any car I have ever owned, quite embarrassing but at the same time a good feeling I was sitting in a funky car.

Maybe though she was taking pics of me and not the Zed :thumbsup:

I had this when I stopped traffic lights at the Holyrood palace, a group of tourists started taking pictures of my car. I think when the roof starts to go though then the Zed begins to show its 20 minute party piece. A lot of people don't see that and are amazed. I regularly have people point to my car and my reg plate as well!
 
Didn't they say anything to you? I've taken pictures of cars in the past in car parks but the owners weren't there, but if they were I'd say "nice car" etc....

Could be they were taking pictures of you- New Z4 > newish Civic, so HE could be dumped in your favour!!!!

20 minute? Need to get your car to the dealer, you roof is fecked!!!!!! :poke:

(but at least its friggin water tight!!!)
 
I often get this from tourists when driving through central london, mostly around westminister and traflager square!

No they didn't say anything to me but then I had the windows up, theyre were probably in their 50s, maybe he was seeing a delayed mid life crises looming :)

I did think of taking a pic of their Honda :?

When I had the demo Z4 for the weekend before I bought it, I took a picture of my friend standing in front of it, then we put it on his Facebook page and he said it was his new car. Plenty of people believed it.

Funny you should mention it being water tight Kev... It isn't, it's started to leak. Are BMW dealerships successful at fixing this?
 
I think it may be something to do with the metal folding roof... Mrs Lozzer used to get people watching the roof on her Megane CC... I can't think of any other reason to look at a Megane! :D

Not in my experience...or JDM's experience! Depends on where the leak is I guess (they havent identified the cause of mine yet). If they can replicate it easily then that will help. I'd book it in and see what happens....
 
:-) when I saw this post I thought oh no has Tim been captured on a speed camera :driving: Fortunately not :thumbsup:

Not aware that I have been photographed in my Zed.
 
My wifes 1M gets photographed all the time mostly by passing motorists whilst driving. A guy in a van nearly crashed into her on the motorway taking a pic.

I usually just get things chucked at me :oops:

So far i've had rolled up pages of an Argos catalogue, a pineapple ring from a cheese burger, a fag butt and about 20 water ballons when I was attacked by a mob of chavs.

This only happens when the roof is down :roll: It also has had a fair few pics taken and a lot of :thumbsup: from passers by.
 
Not been photographed but was dropping the roof in a car park and as the roof was doing its stuff heard this little kid go mum mum look at that car its roofs moving when it had finished looked in mirror whole famliy stood there watching
