Well not quite - as I've just got into a Box(ster S) - my first Porker so I'm rather chuffed - and totally skint !

it's a 2012 Aqua Blue 3.4S PDK with all the important drivers toys like Sports Chrono, PASM adjustable suspension, PSE ( switchable sports exhaust) and the unusual to find Porsche Torque Vectoring ( LSD) with a fair bit of other nice spec - though I would have loved a rather more imaginative interior than the admittedly classy black.

Due to the chrono package it boasts not one Sports Button but two including a Sports Plus where the suspension firmness and gear shift speeds are somewhat insane for our roads. Massive 20" wheels are perhaps overkill so time will tell . . .

If it ever stops raining and/or snowing I hope to get some better pics but here's one or two in the meantime

I'm on an absolutely no mods mission - though I might get the wheels painted satin platinum !

I still have the Zed but sadly it will have to go and it will of course be offered via the forum first of all in the next week or so.

Finally .... fesses up

fantastic colour Jack , always like the red calipers against the metallic blue paint - looks very smart :driving:

As discussed superb spec - Its got all the levers as my old Yorkshire buddies were keen to say

quote....."I'm on an absolutely no mods mission - though I might get the wheels painted satin platinum !" ....and so it begins

I feckin' KNEW it - I should be doing horoscopes or something :D

Felt a bit sad when I saw this, but proper congratulations - looks very lovely indeed

It's a launch promo model by the way. I've seen two recently with similar specs and the dealers are advising of this. PASM is a great option to have

Great car

Very nice car. What were OPC like to deal with? Did you manage to get anything off?

When I had ny 911 in for service my local OPC loaned me a base Boxster, absolutely incredible car.

One of the best handling cars I've ever driven and sounds epic with the sports exhaust.

The Boxster has really come of age now the base 911 is so expensive and powerful.

Beauty

Those options make it a very nice place to be in without ever getting bored.

Thanks for the comments guys:

Bing - I'm quite sad too but very keen to maintain forum contact and participate in runs ( clearly my favourite part of forum life) BTW that clairvoyant streak of yours - does it stretch to lottery numbers ? I'll be gutted to see the Zed go as what was intended as short term ownership of a couple of years rather than changing my main Audi has been a genuine life changer - rekindling our enthusiasm for real (RWD) driving first experienced as a young man in a Capri Ghia ( b4 del boy made his famous). The Zed and the forum has taken us all round Scotland a few times, made loads of new pals, two fantastic Euro blasts and we're planning more trips down south and certainly to Wales where we've never driven.

Stark - yes it is a launch promo vehicle so hopefully hasn't been too thrashed though that's what they are made of - the OPC made that clear as a (positive) feature

DPG - OPC were fine to deal with - I had intended to wait a few months but finding that spec / colour combo was a challenge as I didn't want black or white. It didn't have the sports exhaust fitted so I negotiated to include that at no charge and to conclude sale before 31 Dec so at £2k a pop I thought that wasn't bad.

JayEmm - appreciate those comments from a 911 driver as I totally appreciate that for the same money I could have got an older but still nice 911 but I really wanted to try mid engine and love the open top aspect of the zed / boxster

pvr - cheers !

Stunning purchase Jax. Perfect colour IMO and can't wait to see some sunshine shots. Enjoy the new toy

Jax great car and fitted with so many added features....obviously has PCM too, and I agree satin coating the wheels will look good but don't let Porsche do it, they charge £500 a wheel. Are you going to extend the warranty or did it come with 2 years?

Cheers - yes it does have PCM with ipod/usb/aux connection/nav etc.

I got 2.5 years warranty included !

Re wheels - that's interesting as I thought I picked up the chap at Porsche Leeds that they charged £500 total - which I thought not too bad -not per wheel - that's outrageous - are you sure - I must check.
