Has this happened to you...?

Back in the UK last week and my good lady reported she had taken the 3 for its first oil service. How much was that I ask? £500... What says I. Pass the dealers a few days later and speak with the service manager suggesting he has got the bill for the service very wrong. No says he and produces the worksheet. First oil service AND repairs to front and rear nearside wheels for kerb rash. Oh how I love my wife! :x

Which is why my missus

a) has her own car

b) not insured to drive the Z4!! :P

Plus the X5 has huge wheels with lots of rubber so I can see the occasional rubber scrape, but clean alloys :D

wasnt really much choice after she wrote her car off earlier in the year, she has never driven any of my cars anyway.

I put mine on the insurance to keep costs down! She understands she will NEVER be in the drivers seat

Mrs gannet has driven mine maybe 3 times in 3 years. all motorway miles so as to keep me from getting too tired on loooooonnnnnnggggg trips :D

and she always gets better petrol mileage than me too :?

When my wife understands the 'de rigeur' concept of parking across two spaces she might stand a chance - until then she carries on trashing her own car, which she seems to do quite admirably! :driving:

Mines a purebread petrolhead.. had to shop around, but finally found one :D

She's welcome to drive the zed, but she prefers the corrado..... which suits me :P

Worked the other way round for me. To put her on the Z4 insurance actually put it up, but to put me on her MINI Cooper S insurance brought hers down!! :P

PVR i can assure you that spouses can find just the right high kerb to grind the allows against. i fact they can even find the odd 3 series every now and again to bump in to backwards!!!!

My Misses is a gret driver and has never kirbed the alloys on any of my cars and she can cook as well I must have hit the Jackpot

I loan my car to the girlfriend whenver she wants it, although the time when she scraped the front wing down a lampost coming to a stop with the lampost resting against the wheel, then she had the brilliant idea of turning full lock to get away from the lampost which pushed the car away using the alloy nearly ended her driving career with the z.

women :headbang:

My Mrs has own car- no she will never get close to a dealer, Its always me who takes it for work done for the above reasons. coz she will nod yes to everything and in the end we have a big bill.
She isnt insured on the M either.

Insurance in my name = £2700 (Dont even ask!!!!)
Insurance in her name= £650..

But she has not driven it since i got it as she is scared she will prang it, but everyone knows I am the main person in the drivers seat! :driving:

She has done the advanced police course, and i have seen her drive past me at 100mph+ down a busy street with the lights on. So my Z4 is gonna be pampered for this reason alone!!!!!

My wife does that and she's not even a policewoman....

One of the reasons I got the Zed was to stop the incessant whining about my M3 not being as cute as my old Z3, so I fear that next summer I will have to let her swap her 325Ci for the Zed so she can take it to work etc. and show all her pals. She does understand the consequences of scratching it though, she pays. (She has a clean record and actually did fine with the M3 so I'm not worried, she's a far more careful driver than I am
