Just wondering if this belonged to anyone on the Forum? Seriously thinking about putting a deposit on it, 89k miles , sat nav, heated leather. Looking at the MOT history will need some work come next one.

- MOT history is quite rough.... mentions tyres with exposed cords....neglected?
- Wheels look refurbed recently which is good
- Sure it's been for sale a while. Can't see it on eBay or Autotrader but PY 3.0Si not a common sighting... 32 UK cars made
- It's yellow :D

Big grubby in the photos. If it was cheap enough, it might be one to revive and bring back to its former glory.
MOT history isn’t great though, so worth seeing looking at properly if you can to see if its had a hard life.
I like the ‘yellow’.

Found it on Autotrader without pictures. I would say that’s very strong money at £7k. :o

7 ???

I would expect a perfect one for 6 and with a lot less miles.

Yeah I did think it was a little high, but looking at 3.0 si prices at the moment, they are all pretty high

When I was semi looking last year for when my garage project is finished, I found several 25k miles 3.0 SI ones in perfect condition for around 6k. That is what I will pay when I look for one seriously.

That does seem like a punchy price but prices do seem high just now, and maybe the seller is hoping for a premium for a rare colour?

I'd pay a bit more for PY!

Sounds a little optimistic to say the least. Can’t see you finding any 3.0si at that price unless getting on for more like 100k miles.

You want back in the Z4 club. Surely give bing his deposit back and reclaim your car.

A lot of mismatched paint front end / skirt :? doesn't seem to stand right unless its the pics , little there would lure a deposit from me unless it was particularly cheap & allowed for some investment to return to glory .
I'm a big PY fan but on this occasion i would move on :(

That’s my thought, the price isn’t as high as that 2.5si in PY but it’s still a lot for a car that has poor MOT history and like you say, doesn’t look like it’s sitting right.

To be fair the car needs a bloody good clean, it’s filthy!

The search continues :driving:

I suppose it depends how much you want PY!

If PY is what you really want it might be a while before there is another one for sale.

Good luck with your search anyway.

Thank you sir, not too fussed on colour, I like PY, I know it’s not everyone’s fav. Just looking for a half decent 3.0 si, I like all the colours I guess PY is the rarest, like you say not too many come up.

There’s one out there for me 😊

When I was looking for my first Z4 I wanted a colour, so no black (never liked it) or silver (I'd had a Titan Silver 1 Series for over 6 years) which rather limited my options. :(

Anyway I got a bit impatient and talked myself into a Ruby Black one, partly because it had Pearl Grey seats, but on those few occasions it was clean and the sun was shining it looked stunning!

I got lucky with my 2nd one as it was Montego Blue, and had the same Pearl Grey interior.

My current MC was advertised at a price I just couldn't ignore, so I convinced myself Silver Grey would be OK because it has Imola Red seats and in the year I've had it I just seem to like it more. Which is probably just as well seeing as only 592 MCs were registered in the UK!

You may have a similar rarity problem as only 963 3.0Sis were registered in the UK and just 695 were manuals.

Happy hunting!

I think silver grey is a fantastic colour on the zed, polishes up beautifully and love how it looks different colours in different light, when i first bought my 3.0si everyone commented on how nice the colour was, if i could have had it on an e89 id have sought it out

I think Silver Grey is the best :D Keeps clean like no other and suits the lines. Have had black, always a total pain.

There is a very cheap 3.0Si on Facebook Z4 Owners Group (Montego/Extended Champagne / 77k) but it's not got heated seats and the MOT history is a bit patchy. He only wants £6k though, which is very cheap.

Over the last three months, £6k seems to be the floor on these, unless lunar mileage. £5k-£6k is 2.5Si money...

 Silver grey is definitely the best colour. Cleans up a treat.

Agree on Silver grey - love that colour. My Monaco Blue pops like no other in the sun but after just 10 miliseconds of driving it usually looks filthy!
