Hi guys,

My brother returned home from a work trip in the US and spotted my car in a car park! :o

Except someone has taken my wheels and chromed them! :D

For some reason, a lot of cars in the American southwest have chromed (or polished?) wheels. I've never seen them on a car from anywhere else.

Yeah, I'm from the southwest. The brake dust just wipes off so easy. We be trend setters in the southwest.

I do get many comments re: the chrome. Some like it and some tell me about the added unsprong weight. I just like the way they look and easy clean up.

Setting in traffic at a slow roll and come along side of a car and the sun out bouncing off the rims, it tends to give them a bit of a flash when the rims rotate. I have even been asked to dim my rims.

They are there for safety. The 03-04 just have the red ones on the rear, all others have the orange reflectors on the front as well. The 06 and newer have a different one on front at the wheel well.

I wonder how many crashes in Europe have been attributed to the absence of these essential safety devices? ;)

I must say, the pics IMO don't do the chrome rims justice. I saw IMZ4N's rims on the desert run 07 and liked how they look

me too. IMZ4N's rims look really good!
But you guys in Europe don't know what it's like to be showered in sunshine all year...sparkley things look cool in the California sun!

They moved your steering wheel too. I noticed a lack of quality control about steering wheel placement when I was in the UK. The jokers just can't get the wheel on the proper side of the car there.
