Has anyone tried a non-OEM horn unit?

One of mine has failed again - don't really want to spend £30+ at Sopers so are any of the ebay alternatives recommended?

No, but im sure itll still do the job.
Have you considered a Breakers yard for ANY BMW unit, i doubt itll be any more that £5-£10 :thumbsup:

Don't buy after market ones unless you want to faff about with the connections as they wont fit. Both of mine broke and i didnt want to be paying BMW money for new horns. I bought a set off of ebay from a 2006 BMW E46. It cost me £10 for the two and they work fine.

for example;

Replace the standard horn with a Stebel Nautilus, drivers will definitely regret cutting you up when you set that off.

Highly recommend the Stebel Nautilus, I have a mini one on my Bike and by heck does it wake folk up, bit of mucking about with connections though and a relay and power.....
