Has anyone run 225 40 18 & 245 35 18 Staggered Set up?

Hi all,

I will need some new tyres in the not so distant future on my 3.0i, I have 18inch Z4M 224 wheels, which currently have Z4M OEM tyre sizes on but get slight rubbing on the back some times.

I would like to put some Michelin Pilot Super Sports on but i wanted to stay away from Z4M OEM sizes due to slight rubbing on back.

My ideal sizes would be 225 40 18 Front and 255 35 18 Rear but they do not sell the super sport tyre in that rear size!

Would a 245 35 18 super sport on the rear be ok to run? I know M135i's run these as a standard size with over 300BHP with no issues etc but i understand that the 224 Wheels are wider than the M135i wheels.

Can anyone help?

Also does anyone know if the supersports are wide for their size or slightly narrower?

I don't see any reason why you can't run with those tyre sizes.
245s will be ok on a 9 inch rim.

Would you run a 245 40 18? or stick with the 245 35 18?

Personally I would run 245/35/18 to keep the rolling radius closer between front and rear.
