Has anyone replaced standard radio head unit?

Ok, I decided upgrading to that day nav BMW I drive is too expensive at a couple of grand...

But just been thinking about the flip out screen head units with integrated sat nav as another option.

Anyone any thoughts on this?

hmm ive been thinking this as well but dont really want to loose the function of my CD changer, ive also been wanting to change the speakers behind my seats as i only have the basic sound system the quality is horrible!

Yeah me too. I've got the aux in cable so mainly use my iPhone.

I also don't want to lose the steering wheel functions but I've noticed some units sat 'steering wheel control compatible'
