I watched a video about a guy trying to fix the horrible rattling coming the plastic roll bar covers. Mine are horrible, too. He attempted to fix the rattling by removing them and inserting foam or something. In doing so, he broke enough tabs that they don't stay together anymore. So instead, he took all the plastic parts off which exposed very nicely painted black metal roll bars. He decided to go with that instead of putting the plastic ones back on.
Has anyone here done this? If so, do you like it better now?
Also, if so, did you find a way to utilize the wind deflectors?
I sort of think there's no experimenting to do here.... Removing the plastic covers will break tabs. I know because I removed mine in order to install ones with the deflector screw holes. So, I either live with the annoying rattles and keep it all stock OR take it all off and figure something out for wind deflectors.
Thoughts?
