Has anyone got a ///M and a ruler that measures in mm?

Hi all, I'm stood by a printer with a roll of self adhesive vinyl on it.
The coloured stripes /// stickers on my aftermarket ///m badges are cracking, so I thought I'd print myself some more.
Can someone measure the thickness of the stripes( at 90 degrees to the stripes) so I can bang some out and cut to shape?
Also, if this works, I'd be happy to get a load printed up ( in various colours if you're feeling fruity) and people can collect or I can post. Don't want to charge so if people want to make a donation to the site?

I'll try and do the artwork tonight, so any requests by 9.30 I'll try and do tomorrow

If you can supply the vector file to print it, or a pdf then yes. Just googled for the correct file type and can't find one.

Hmmm not sure what a vector file is but ill try and search for a PDF on my iPhone....

Its a graphics file that uses the shape and thickness of lines, rather than pixels like a jpeg does. It means you can resize it without losing detail or getting pixellation
Couldn't find one with my android, example file types are .eps, .ai
 
I have a couple of M badges somewhere...

Do you want them to get all the measurements yourself?... There only sat in the cupboard.

Thanks for the offer, but I just need the width of the stripes really.

I'm 200 miles away from my car at the mo, but with the opportunity to churn some stuff out on a printer I'm installing.


I think if I go sniffing round the back of an ///M of any sort round here, I'm likely to get gagged, bound, drugged, torn a new ass and then disposed of on some waste ground.
If it wasn't for the last one , I'd be up for it :rofl: :telloff:

I've got the badges, in fact I've got spares, just not with me. I just need to apply new stripes to the ones on the car as they're cracked with age. They're a rather tasteful white/light grey/dark grey combo, which I want to replace. For free.
Whilst I'm doing it, I thought I'd ask if anyone wants some doing, in any colour they wanted.
Stripes are a doddle. A light grey BMW MPower logo, in what looks like a modified corporate font, not quite as easy to knock up in paint...
A colleague with a TVR printed off a full size side on picture of his car for his garage wall!!! I'm starting a bit smaller....
 
At this customer I only have white Self adhesive vinyl, and no clear stuff, should be able to get something soon Might show a bit of the white up on the side after they've been cut.unless I can print over the edge of the sheet...

So how wide do you want your stripes?

And (seeing as I still don't know :roll: )
How wide are the stripes on the M badge on the boot/flanks of the car? :thumbsup:

There is a person on M3 Cutters who makes these up (maybe even for free) if you register there.

I don't have his name but I have seen it. On Pistonheads there is a silver E46 in readers cars being modified with OEM parts by a person with a red fiesta (also in readers cars) and I'm sure he also sourced them.

Don't have links/bookmarks/names but they should be easy ish to find...
