Funnily enough I was only last night considering a future MC to MR swap.

There's a plan in there somewhere

Its there somewhere Bing. Maybe next summer if I still feel the same way  ///M or Alpina.

Recommending an E89 as natural progression from an E86 M is stupid advice. The E89 is a soft cruiser in comparison designed for the american market, they couldnt be more different.

As for Roadster to Coupe... its not natural progression its just an itch all roadster owners want to scratch but non will admit it
I can see where your coming from regarding the E89 they are different beasts, but imo they look gorgeous & have a really nice interior in comparision, but most magazines agree with you that they are more cruiser than sports car...it still doesnt stop me lusting after one though! 8)

 Good Man that's the way to go.

As for swapping for a MC in a few years.

Buy a hard top. Then you can put it on when you want the car to look like a coupe and take it off when you want to drive it. :D

This seems like a viable option regarding the hard top or get saving & buy a E89 then i have the best of both worlds! :?

Only those that are balding and run out of sunscreen for their head. The younger at heart, suave, windswept and interesting, Bon vivant prefers the convertible..

Get a grip man !! Get an E89 and stop this nonsense :)
Good shout!, i looked into getting a E89 35iS before i got the Z4MR but it would have meant selling my daily aswell as my TVR & there wouldnt have been anywhere to put my labrador!

I think the E89 would be a natural progression

Of course there's room for a labrador

You want to have a word with your breeder. Funniest looking Labrador I've seen... :)

Have a look at Z4MRs with a hardtop, look great IMO if it was my daily user I'd have one.

Love the dog  Must be a joke there somewhere :)

i dont see the point in getting almost the same car again..
If you wanted a change from a roadster i dont think getting a coupe would keep you happier for much longer, and vice versa
id rather change car completely instead of getting a very similar, albeit very good car

This i think hits the nail on the head, i have thought the same, just wondered about other peoples take on it :)

It will need to be a special car to replace the Zed though!

Ah em, I beg to differ. Certainly a few younger MC owners here...
