Hi all.

This will be of no use to many on here but if you want to be let down for 12mths after originally ordering goods from a company then give Harveys a try.

We have been in a battle with them for over 12mths trying to get our furniture order fulfilled, broken promises, shocking customer care team, piddly offers of compensation e:g £50 'for our inconvenience' after spending £1500 with them, damaged furniture delivered, 3mth wait between deliveries then wrong furniture delivered despite reassurances all is good etc etc etc..........

Take a look at their Facebook page for those with FB and you'll see complaint on top of complaint with no remorse from them at all.

You wouldn't think a big chain like this would be so bad, the odd complaint yeah, but I was amazed the more I delved.

Avoid at all costs, they will take your money and let you down and then give you the 2 finger salute when you try to sort issues out.

I am sorry to hear this, please can you message me with your invoice number, post code and contact number and we can look into this for you. Thanks, Holly

Jeez, it isn't rocket science! Another classic case of a company with precious little idea and in reality more style than substance. :x

Yep, the bog standard reply from Harveys to every single complaint. Unfortunately, they do little to naff all to resolve your issues, just leave you dangling for months on end until your furniture arrives.

If we could've cancelled we would've done but we'd sold our previous suite and were sat on theirs that they wanted back immediately if we cancelled on the week before Christmas. Basically, they had us backed into a corner. Hand it back and have Christmas and the next few months until a new suite from elsewhere turns up, sat on the carpet.

If you haven't already done so, an email to their Group Retail Services Director Steve Campbell at [email protected] might help move things along.

Could be a plan buddy, thank you.

We are just compiling a complaint to the Furniture Ombudsman as was sarcastically suggested by one of their Customer 'Care' Team yesterday.

Had the same with furniture village. After the second time of damaged goods, we told them to come collect and give full refund. Which they did without question.

Such big stores like this should be getting it right first time.
