The mufflers are on and man, what a sweet sound!!! The Hartge salesman told me that they are very loud, but as they were being sold at a huge discount, I said what the heck and ordered them...and I'm sooo glad I did...the sound is a bit louder, not very much, but deeper and more sporty...this is exactly what I wanted so could not be happier...oh, and they look gorgeous too 8) I will most some pics when I have some spare time...after the CSL's, the best buy for the Z...now the suspension :?

1.000euro is a nice price for those Hartge mufflers. Strange they are in promo. Maybe one day I will fit them; but my first priority on the Z4M is upgrading the brakes... Do you have any plans on the brake department?

Brakes: thinking about the BMW performance brakes... 6 piston at 1400 euro, but not sure hoe THE balance Will be with stock rear brakes...

Indeed you can fit some modified BMW Performance brakes (=> +/- 1.500 euro with two new Z4M discs)... Balance seems ok with the stock rear brakes. But, you will have to fit spacers to get them to fit with CSL wheels. They exist in gold and silver (looks better IMO).

The bias is not adversly affected with this kit. BMW sell this as just a front kit or front and rear... From what we have found in testing, the E46 ASC,DSC,ABS are adaptable enough to this kit even when pushed far past the limit in a closed environment. But as everyone knows, this kit was designed for the E90 3 series BMW and as such we are not trying to sell it as a E46 specific kit. It is what it is, a retrofit for the E46 and it works very well indeed.
For 700euro more you can buy a front AP racing BBK (6 pot).
