Hartge mufflers

Need some advice here folks :) I looked on the Hartge website and their mufflers are very very good priced...does anybody know how they soun ? Searched youtube but nothing popped out... :(

I'm not sure where you get £1400 from, but when I look at their German website, I see a price of €503...even if it's for 1 muffler, it's still cheaper then SS...
It's very tempting, but I don't want to have an extremely loud exhaust, just something that sounds a bit sportier...I believe that Hartge does not make their mufflers but they buy it and rebrand, but not sure who the original manufacturer is...
 
They look a lot like the Supersprint ones but the brackets seem a bit different..

After a bit of asking around, I found out that they are made by Remus...the youtube clips I saw of Z4M's with Remus exhausts sound very much what I'm after...just a tiny bit sportier...I guess I will call Hartge to find out what the deal is...I always had SS on my cars, but for some reason I really don't like how it sounds on the Z...or maybe I'm getting old :D

Yep you must be right they do look the same, never thought of checking Remus.

Called Hartge today and it's indeed €1000 for the whole set, but they are very loud according to the guy on the phone...no go for me :(
They are in promotion now, so if anyone is looking for loud mufflers, it's the time now :)
 
Maybe it's cheaped in Europe. But this is the Birds price.

A lad called Athol (Outrun) on here has the set up! I beleive they were £800. Black too, so looks less aftermarket.

You should also check out the Eisenmann Sport, might be louder than the Remus ones though,

i have remus back boxes on my ///m and i can't fault them,they sound imo just right and very well made too :thumbsup:

The Hartge mufflers arrived today :D I hope to have them on the car this week and I'm really curious how they will sound...but the look beautifull :thumbsup: and weigh much less than oem...
 
The mufflers are on and man, what a sweet sound!!! The Hartge salesman told me that they are very loud, but as they were being sold at a huge discount, I said what the heck and ordered them...and I'm sooo glad I did...the sound is a bit louder, not very much, but deeper and more sporty...this is exactly what I wanted so could not be happier...oh, and they look gorgeous too 8) I will most some pics when I have some spare time...after the CSL's, the best buy for the Z...now the suspension :?
